Patient Testimonials - General

How are ya mate..??

I've worked as a Remedial Therapist since 1997 and have had swapped many treatments from many different therapists, inlcuding Chiropractic. For the last 6 years, I've specialised my treatments to help cyclists perform at their optimal level, keeping the legs and back fresh, supple and injury free. I came across Terry whilst working during the Tour de France and to my delight was able to swap treatments. I have never had such a thorough, precise, educational treatment in my entire life. The only disappointment is that Terry is American based, as I would love to work with him and thoroughly recommend any cyclist with musculo-skeletal issues to contact, without hesitation, Terry.

EBR Cellular Cleanse Therapy Testimonial

I have been treated by Dr. Terry for neck and back pain much of which was stress related. Recently he suggested the EB-305 to help address allergy symptoms and low energy and fatigue that I have struggled with for many years since I turned forty. The results have been amazing. I have more energy and patience to deal with both my professional and personal life, and an overall sense of well being. An incredible side benefit, which certainly contributes to the above, is that my libido has greatly increased!! I feel like I have the energy and desire of an adolescent and the ability to now enjoy it!!! I highly recommend the EB-305 for everyone.

Dr. T.,

I wanted to write to you and let you know how much better I am doing since I started the EB treatments!

I work in the corporate world and have been a single parent most of the time. For many years my stress level has been through the roof as well my body.

I have never learned any techniques to "release" the tension or "let go." Over the years it has really taken its toile on me. I'm easily agitated, hold anger much too long over situations, don't sleep well, I'm putting on weight, too tired to do much after work, sleep on the weekends. Not much of a life.

I have had 6 EB sessions and cannot believe the differences!

  • I handle stressful situations much better.
  • My oveall mood no longer has the dark cloud lingering.
  • I've got more energy during the day as well as the weekends.
  • I've noticed my body isn't as tight and I'm able to exercise longer.

Erchonia Laser Testimonial

I am fortunate to be one of Dr. Terry's first patients to receive his new laser and detox treatments. The results I have experienced after only a few sessions are just shy of profound. I am eager to receive more treatments as I approach my racing season.

My results so far include shorter recovery times between hard interval workouts, greater power on the bike, better quality sleep and fewer allergy symptoms. I have only reached for my allergy medicine once in the past two weeks.

As an athlete I am looking for that extra 3-5 percent which means the difference between standing on the podium and just finishing with the pack. Even if I wasn't a competitive athlete I'd be in for the treatments because quality of health in general is a priority for me. In addition to the physical improvements I feel more balanced mentally.

If you're serious about reaching your optimum physical and mental health, these treatments are the ticket.

I detoxed yesterday for the first time with the EB305 and today I smashed a one-hour record on the ergometer. Not only did I break my old record, I came just a 1/2 a watt short of setting an all-time hour record which, by the way, was set at a higher resistance! Oh yeah...let's not forget this coming just days after finishing a long stage race where my recovery was hindered by a bad crash in stage 1.

Thanks for keeping me on the bike and going hard!

After months of training on my bicycle for 200-300 miles per week, hitting the gym three times a week and the stress of starting my own business…I collapsed with fatigue one late November afternoon just after a cyclocross race.

After about 3 months of trying to recuperate on my own and not making any progress, I decided to see a doctor. I was operating with an energy level of about 30% of my normal self. It was debilitating both emotionally and physically. This condition caused me to have to stop riding my bike and cost me many days of work because I was constantly fatigued.

The doctors said it was Epstein Barr Syndrome and that there was really nothing I could do about it. As many of you know…this is never a satisfactory answer so I started my own research into the matter. After about a year of feeling week, lethargic and often times sleeping as much as 18 hours a day, I was convinced it was more than just Epstein Barr Syndrome….in fact, it was Chronic Fatigue Syndrome; a much maligned condition amongst athletes and other people encountering and mishandling their stress.

One day, about a year after collapsing, I was at CSI under the care of Doctor Terry Weyman getting my regular adjustment when he suggested I do an EB Treatment with their new unit. Immediately after the treatment, I felt a little more drained than usual so I went home and took a nap which at this point was pretty common in my everyday life. That nap turned into a full night’s sleep and the following day, nearly 15 hours after the treatment, my legs felt fresh and strong…I felt unusually energetic and clear headed for the first time in over a year. I was quick to dismiss it as a fluke and immediately feared this new feeling would go away. Day after day since…I have continued to get stronger and am nearly back to 100% of my former self; my energy level has increased nearly three times its former level in a matter of months. Having had a few more EB Treatments under Dr. Terry’s guidance, I am back racing my bicycle and working hard at my new business venture. This was no fluke. I can attest to the amazing transformation my life has made since starting regular EB Treatments and Chiropractic care.

Other Patient Testimonials

A year ago I was literally a mess, having crashed at high speed at the 7-11 Velodrome in Colorado Springs. Fortunately for me, you were on rotation at the USOC Sports Med Center. My thanks to you are not only for your excellent hands-on attention at all hours of the day and night, but for the genuine care you had, and have, for both my overall well-being and my athletic performance. I am glad to say I am back racing, most recently at the Elite National Championships, where I won gold in the 1km Time Trial ("kilo"), and silver in the Team Sprint!

I will continue to stay in touch, and look forward to checking out the new facility when I am out your way.

Sincerely,

In June of 2003 I had a nasty crash in the Norba National mountain bike race in Snowshoe, WV and suffered a 4th degree acromioclavicular separation. Two days later I had surgery to repair the damage. In the crash I also pulled a lot of back and neck muscles. The pain was so intense I thought I had broken a rib. Five days after my surgery I started my rehab at the Olympic Training Center. On one of my first days in the OTC I saw Dr. Terry Weyman, who was doing a two week volunteer rotation in Sports Medicine. He got me on his table and worked on my back and neck for the next week. He was the only doctor that was able to give me any relief from the huge amount of pain I was in. The pain from the shoulder surgery was tolerable as long as I didn't move any part of my right arm. The back pain was debilitating. Thanks to Dr. Terry I was able to breath normally, start sleeping thru the night, and move around the house without ending up in tears. He was a huge part of my recovery and I will always thank him for that! I also got the chance to work with Dr. Terry at the recent US National Championships in Mammoth, CA. He spent four days with our team and brought all of the latest cutting edge technology to help increase our performance. At the elite level most of the athletes are about the same level physically. Dr. Terry was able to give us the 1-2% increase in power and strength that was needed to win the big races. His tissue work with the lasers, percusser and body adjustments gave us the advantage over our competitors. I won two national titles that weekend and I know that Dr. Terry was a big part of my success.

Hi Dr. Terry,

I visited your office for treatment quite a while ago ... maybe two years back. I was having bad lower back pain and had the mindset that it was the result of chronic sacro inflamation...etc. I had given up on one of my greatest passions which is jogging and more specifically trail running. I figured my back could just not sustain that kind of activity especially at 50+ years old. First off you told me that I had did not have a chronic sac problem and really had no orthopedic problems at all. You told me that my leg and back muscles were just in lock-up mode and were pulling at my lower back. This was very enlightening and comforting to know. You also told me that with proper rehab, I could someday run again.

The next and maybe biggest enlightenment of all came when you sent me over to your physical therapist ( I wish I could remember his name). He concurred with your diagnosis and showed me a series of back stretching exercises. They were very tough to do at first especially because I had hamstrings that were strung so tight even he was amazed. I realized that If I hung in there and practiced these stretches that I could possibly eliminate my chronic back pain. I always knew stretching was so essential to the body but never quite had the discipline to do them. Well this all changed and I started doing these at home and realized how good it felt to do these and what a good and tingly feeling I was getting in my lower back. I realized after doing this routine for a while that my chronic pain was slowly going away...and then the dream resurfaced. After thinking that walking and hiking were all I could ever do (and of course that is not a bad exercise routine) I decided I would try to run again. By now my back stretching routine was religious to me. I knew I had to find some highly cushioned running shoes and I was very lucky to find an awesome pair of Sacony shoes. So there I went starting slowly and even testing things out on pavement.

To cut to the chase .... I have been running successfully for about a month and a half now, mainly on the Las Virgenes trail area and on a high school track (which I love). I am having the time of my life and have already increased my overall strength, vitality and wind. I feel like I did 20 years ago when running was my daily practice. I am truly a "reborn jogger" and it has changed my life. I owe you and your staff a lot of gratitude for enlightening me about and helping to cure my "chronic back ailment"

Peace,

When I relocated from California to North Carolina four years ago, I knew it was going to be very difficult to find someone like Dr. Terry in my new location. As a triathlete, Dr. Terry had taken care of my injuries with confidence and reassurance. He would diagnose the injury, set an action plan and before I knew it, I was back doing what I love to do. I recently suffered an injury while training for Ironman Wisconsin. The injury occurred over a period of time and even though I was seeing a chiropractor in North Carolina, there came a point when she told me she could not do anything else for me and told me see my primary care physican. I was devastated. I had made a promise to myself that if I ever had a serious injury, I'd be on a flight back to California to let the person I have the most confidence in take care of me, Dr. Terry. From the moment I walked into the office, Dr. Terry reassured me that my injury could be fixed and immediately took action. Although I could not stay in California until the injury was totally healed, the treatment he gave me and the at home therapy he prescribed got me well on my way. It was so worth the trip and if I ever find myself in the same situation, he's only a airline ticket away.

To Whom It May Concern:

My wife, my daughter, and I have been patients of Dr. Terry Weyman for six years now. He and his Chiropractic Sports Institute have supported our athletic endeavors with the finest care imaginable. Injuries that might have sidelined us for months were healed in weeks, occasionally in days. Again and again, I have been pleasantly surprised at the reduced period required for recovery from athletic injury through the efforts of Dr. Weyman and his outstanding staff.

Dr. Weyman is personable and professional, relating well to people, especially athletes, and has an uncanny ability to diagnose a problem and immediately put the patient on the road to recovery. My wife, Susan, is an accomplished rider of show horses and for years had trouble with pain in her hip and leg from nerve impingement in her lower back. Medical treatment by more than one physician offered little relief. Once Dr. Weyman, himself a skilled rider, began treating my wife the pressure on the nerve was relieved almost immediately. It seemed miraculous. Occasional visits to Dr. Weyman keeps her pain free and riding and jumping horses daily.

My daughter, Katie, was a club soccer player on a gold and, then, premier level team. She was also a ranked tennis player in the junior USTA and the MVP for the Westlake High School tennis team. At that level of competition, we could count on an injury in one or the other of the sports every two or three months. I was amazed by how fast Dr. Weyman got my daughter back into competition. Since he is an athlete himself, he understands that missing games or matches is a devastating blow.

Dr. Weyman has kept me running the hills in the Conejo Valley and surfing. At 60-years-old, my body has a lot of worn parts and several old injuries from high school and college football and track and from the Marine Corps. However, I thrive on physical activity and cannot live without it. In a way, Dr. Terry has been a lifesaver. A good run with my Jack Russell terriers in the hills or a good day of waves at Malibu or County Line provides peace of mind, a rare commodity in the pressure cooker of modern society.

I can recommend Dr. Terry Weyman for the finest in chiropractic care without reservation and with the greatest enthusiasm.

Sincerely,
Roger McGrath

Dear Dr. Terry and the CSI Staff,

As a teenager, I was into many extreme sports such as motocross and snowboarding. At the tender age of 16, I found myself in a hospital bed looking at three broken vertebrae, two broken ribs, and a broken tail bone all due to one massive motorcycle crash. Although I would have willingly let them do any surgery they said would help, all that the doctors could say is my condition was too unstable to do surgery and that the use of my legs could be compromised if we did it. I was sent home to rehabilitate, and continuously told that this is a life long injury. Since then, I have experienced debilitating pain that seemed to get exponentially worse as the years went on, until I was referred to the CSI office and specifically you, Dr Terry. As I have come to understand it, my injury set off a domino effect in my body which caused all the wrong muscle groups to be compensating and supporting the injury that I incurred years prior. With your help and skill, I feel as though I am balanced and that my muscles are actually working as they are supposed to for the first time in many years. I have noticed that when I end up with a sharp pain in my back for one reason or another, a visit to your office provides me with the same if not more relief than any of the pain killers available, and without the undesirable withdraw. I want to let you know that you and your staff have helped me to achieve a new feeling about myself and a new outlook on life that it doesnt have to be filled with pain and discomfort. Thank you Dr. Terry and the CSI staff. Everything you have done for me is greatly appreciated.

Respectfully and Sincerely,
Jeffrey Paulson

I had lingering back problems for years. I could never shake them and be completely healed of the pain. However, once I started using the decompression table at the Chiropractic Sports Institute my pain went away immediately. The pain was reduced after the first session and progressively got better until it was completely gone. Now with zero pain I am able to recover faster, play harder, and compete longer. I have tried deep tissue massages, pain medication, intense stretching, and many other forms of medicine to try to heal my back problems; but the only one that has proven to work over time is the decompression table.
